【摘要】:Clauses4,5and6ofthispartofIEC61992coverparticularrequirementsforsurgearresters(followingnamedarresters)forspecificuseinfixedinstallationsofd.c.tractionsystems.Thesearesurgearrestersconsistingofoneormorenon-linearresistorswhichmaybeinserieswithsingleormultiplesparkgaps.Low-voltagelimitersarecoveredunderClause7.Theseareprotectivedevicesmainlyusedinfixedinstallationsofd.c.tractionsystemstoconnectcertainportionsofthecircuit,when,owingtoanabnormalsituation,thevoltageacrossthedeviceexceedsapredeterminedlimitedvalue.Theymaybeassociatedwithotherdevicessuchascontactorsforself-restoringarrangements.Theyarenotusedingeneraltoprovidesurgeprotection.ThefollowingarethemainusesofLow-VoltageLimiters(LVL):–connectiontotherailofmetallicmasses;–protectionofrailcircuits;–earthingofrailsinthesubstation;–protectionofcathodiccircuits;–protectionofcableshields.
